After a few weeks of using the JMGO N1S 4K, I can honestly say that I am extremely satisfied with it. Its greatest strengths are the combination of outstanding image quality, ease of use, and excellent portability.
The projector is lightweight and compact, which makes it incredibly easy to move from one location to another. I regularly use it in my garage, in the bedroom where I project onto a wardrobe, and even outdoors on a rough exterior wall. This flexibility is one of the things that impressed me the most.
I would especially like to highlight how forgiving the projector is when it comes to positioning. You do not need to place it in the perfect spot to get a properly aligned image. Whether it is positioned high, low, off to the side, or at an angle, it is remarkably easy to achieve the desired picture. This takes away much of the hassle typically associated with setting up a projector and allows you to focus on enjoying the content rather than constantly adjusting the device.
The image quality is simply fantastic. The picture is sharp, detailed, and vibrant, and the 4K resolution really shines whether I am watching movies, TV shows, or live sports. Even when projecting onto a rough outdoor wall, the image remains more than good enough for comfortably watching football matches with friends.
Of course, there are a few downsides. The Google TV operating system can feel a little sluggish at times, and navigating through the menus could be faster and more responsive. Additionally, the remote control lacks backlit buttons, which is a surprising omission on a product in this price range. In a dark room, finding the right buttons often requires feeling around by memory, and backlighting would significantly improve the user experience.
Another thing potential buyers should be aware of is input lag. The advertised 17 ms input lag can only be achieved when keystone correction and additional image processing features are disabled. If you rely on keystone correction to compensate for a less-than-ideal projector position, input lag increases noticeably. This may not matter for movies or casual viewing, but gamers and users sensitive to display latency should keep it in mind.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the JMGO N1S 4K is a projector that I would recommend without hesitation. Its fantastic image quality, excellent portability, and exceptional flexibility in positioning make it a highly versatile device that adapts effortlessly to a wide range of use cases and consistently delivers an impressive viewing experience.
