I got the PicoFlix at a great price.
At this price point, there are no major brands that sell a similar product that includes:
- Full-HD resolution
- Build-in stand/adjustments
- Google TV
-Battery
-Truly portable
Given the price I was able to get it for (about half the price of a Halo+ GTV version from Xgimi, I will be keeping it - but it's not perfect and I think I might end up buying something better later.
My issues with it:
- Auto-focus is not razor sharp. Subtitles appear always appear a little blurry.
- It is not very bright. The same goes for many competitors but I had hoped for more. I need to dim the lights in my kitchen and project a relatively small window (20-30" or so) to get a watchable image when preparing Dinner) in the Evening.
- It can be a little slow to operate. Especially right after start-up which is an issue when you are quickly setting it up and not using it as a dedicated projector.
- I have had a few times where it wouldn't turn on after going into stand-by and I had to plug it in an out a few times to get it going again. Seems better after a recent update.
I'm very happy with this projector: it suits completely my needs. I read a lot's of reviews and visualize a lot's of videos before and I confirm all the pros and cons. Maybe the battery is a little bit too low. Otherwise it's a great device. Bravo 👏 !
Ich habe mir den Beamer als Alternative zu meinem Nebula Capsule 3 bestellt. Im direkten Vergleich ist die Bildqualität nahezu identisch, sodass ich keinen wirklichen Mehrwert erkennen konnte. Besonders enttäuschend war der Ton, der im Vergleich zum Nebula Capsule deutlich schlechter abgeschnitten hat. Aus diesem Grund habe ich mich entschieden, das Gerät zurückzusenden.
